Betty Pérez, Medical & Despensa Programs Coordinator
Betty is responsible for the families supported through the Medical and Despensa Programs. She is in direct communication with physicians and the medical staff of the health system, with other non-profits, government agencies, and private entities that make our service programs possible. Her natural warm personality together with her experience in the hotel industry, including work in the US, brings a special touch of cordiality and efficiency to the job. Although born in Mexico City, Betty has been a resident of San José de Cabo for more than 20 years.
Consuelo Espinosa, Service Programs and Administrative Assistant
The newest member of the Centro team, Consuelo is bilingual and has a degree in Architecture. She can be found most days at the reception desk of the Centro de Apoyo. She is responsible for screening applicants for our service programs. Her previous experience in education and health, along with her volunteer work at LIGA MAC makes Consuelo a great addition to our team.
Executive Director Elva Haro comes from within the ranks of LIGA MAC, having served as Secretary of the non-profit organization's Board of Directors. Prior to service on the Board of Directors, Haro began volunteering with Liga MAC in 2004 when she was called upon by the Board to collaborate on establishing the ALAS (Wings) self-esteem program for junior high school students. Haro has a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, and a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
Remy Amaya, ACE Program Coordinator
Remy has a degree in Administration and works directly with school social workers and principals as well as ACE scholarship students. Remy is a bright young woman who through study and constant practice has become proficient in English language skills since coming to work for Liga MAC. She approaches her tasks with a smile on her face and is a pleasure to have on the team.
